Located between Wimberley & Canyon Lake, San Marcos and Blanco along Farm to Market Road 32, you will find Fischer Texas. It was established in the mid 1800s. Holding a population of around 50 throughout the 1900’s population fell in the mid 1960 as Canyon Lake began to fill. It’s description has not changes in a hundred years! —a country store (open on weekends) a post office, and a nine pin bowling alley at a rural crossroads. Its population was listed as twenty from 1967 through 2000.” Today you could describe it in the same way with the exception of a growing population to 800 to 900 due to the addition of some new sub-divisions in the area.
